RPP Guide: Codying the Industry Standard
An Operating Manual for the Road Pricing Professional
The cornerstone of the IRPP is the Road Pricing Professional Body of Knowledge (RPP-BoK). Unlike a static archive of technical manuals, the BoK is a dynamic, evolving corpus that defines the essential logic of the road pricing domain.
The RPP Guide is the formal codification of this logic. While specific technologies, from RFID and ALPR to Satellite and C-V2X, will inevitably shift, the fundamental principles of road pricing remain constant. The RPP Guide ensures that practitioners master the timeless mechanics of the industry, providing them with the "intellectual guardrails" needed to navigate technological disruption with confidence.

The Structural Framework: the Four Domains
The RPP Guide is organized around the Four Domains of Mastery, which serve as the structural framework for the BoK. By mastering these domains, a practitioner demonstrates a profound understanding of the industry's core principles, allowing them to adapt to any future shifts in technology or policy.

The Development Roadmap
The RPP Guide will be completed by the Founding Sponsor Cohort which constitute the SMEAG. This document includes the following core components:

Current Status: Development & Curation
The RPP-BoK and accompanying RPP Guide are currently being developed. A primary mandate of the Founding Sponsor Cohort / Subject Matter Expert Advisory Group (SMEAG) is the curation of this standard. This ensures that the RPP Guide is not built in a vacuum - it reflects real-world operational challenges and technical breakthroughs.
