What IRPP Is Asking For
A bounded three-year build fund with a stated final invoice.
Founding Organizations fund the work that must happen before a credential system can launch: the Body of Knowledge, the job task analysis that validates it, the examination blueprint, the item bank, and the psychometric work behind the passing score. That work has a beginning and an end.
IRPP begins generating training and credential revenue in 2027, but founding commitments continue through the three-year term while IRPP builds out the curriculum and the upper tier credentials - the Practitioner and Specialist credentials - and grows exam and renewal revenue. Then your financial support concludes.
The Three Year Founding Runway
The first programs will be launched as soon a Q1 2027. RPP–Practitioner and Specialist credentials will be completed by the end of 2027. The three-year founding commitment is the runway between initial program launch and the mature program sustained by credentialing and training fees.
Founding revenue supports the examination, governance, technology, and operating infrastructure required to launch and expand the credential program while revenue grows. While Year 3 is the final invoice - no fourth-year payment is contemplated - Founding recognition is permanent. Qualified practitioners continue serving through renewable terms per IRPP’s participation and committee-composition requirements.
Contribution, Participation & Authority
IRPP keeps three things separate. A financial contribution determines economic benefits. A qualified practitioner determines advisory participation. Neither determines the standard.
The value of a credential rests on its independence from the organizations that employ the people it certifies. Founding Organizations provide practical field knowledge through a structured process, while IRPP retains responsibility for the credential.
What Founding Organizations Enable
Support Levels
Founding Organizations forward qualified experts and make a financial commitment at one of the levels below.
Charter designation is limited to the first four organizations that contribute $15,000. Once the four Charter positions are filled, additional $15,000 organizations participate as Cornerstone Founding Organizations. Cornerstone participation is available only during the founding enrollment period. Builder has the lowest financial contribution, but also less benefits. All Founding Organizations are recognized on IRPP collateral.
Program discounts include exam vouchers and discounts on credential-maintenance fees.
What an Advisory Seat Involves

Each seat is held by a named practitioner whose relevant expertise is reviewed by IRPP.

Representatives contribute to developing one or more of the seven BoK domains.

Work may include scheduled panel sessions or independent reviews of draft materials.

Seats create greater capacity to shape programs but do not create greater weight in a particular decision.

SMETAC advises on all programs; IRPP retains decision authority.
IRPP is structuring the credential program around ISO/IEC 17024, the international standard for bodies that certify persons.
After Year 3
Founding Organization financial support ends after the third year. Recognition is permanent. Seats on the SMETAC continue in perpetuity as long as practitioners contribute to the IRPP Body of Knowledge, training and credential programs as they evolve alongside the industry.
